Cottage Overview

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Hale’s Eagle Lake Cottage is a cedar sided viceroy style. It is well equipped with all necessary comforts of home, including dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, utensils, baking needs; satellite TV, VCR, DVD, cassette player/radio, linen, washer and dryer, propane fireplace, gas barbecue and wood barbecue/campfire, 15 feet from the waterfront. There are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, with 2 walk in closets and a two piece ensuite. The guestroom also has a queen sized bed and the third bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a single bed. All bedrooms have dressers. In the sunken sun room (3 walls of glass), there is a pull out sofa bed. In the main bathroom, there is an old-fashioned bathtub with a shower. The bedrooms and hall are carpeted, the kitchen, dining room and sunroom have vinyl flooring and the living room is covered with hardwood. The cottage can sleep 9 people and is 1600 sq. feet on the main floor. The water is safe to drink as we have installed 2 filter systems.


EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
The cottage is private, 300 feet from the road behind white birch and pine trees. There is 125 feet of waterfront with a sandy bottom and shallow shoreline for 30 feet (good for small children swimming). There is a 35-foot dock with a canoe, paddles and life jackets. The cottage is set on a gentle slope 75 feet from the water. The lake is a 6 miles long, with many islands and interesting bays to explore. Attached to the cottage are 3 good-sized decks, one, which is screened in. All are equipped with patio furniture.


ACTIVITIES NEARBY
In the area there are 2 golf courses, one near Eagle Lake and one just south of Sundridge. There is horseback riding near the lake as well as numerous hiking trails and a provincial park 1 km. away with a playground and sandy beach. The Forgotten trails are in the area and are great for biking and exploring. In the winter there is snowmobiling, skiing, ice fishing and dog sledding. The cottage is located about 40 min., north of Huntsville on highway 11. It is west of Sundridge and South River.
